How scar revision works
The laser delivers targeted energy into scar tissue through thousands of tiny channels. That breaks the scar down and starts your body's own collagen renewal and skin remodeling.
Over the following weeks the texture, color and flexibility of the scar improve. It helps raised or indented scars, discoloration and stiffness, whether the scar is from old acne or a recent surgery. Depending on the scar, more than one treatment may be needed.

Treatment
The SmartXide2 targets the damaged scar tissue. Sessions take 20 to 30 minutes and most clients feel mild warmth or tingling.
Aftercare and results
Expect mild redness and sensitivity for a few days, like a light sunburn. Cleanse gently, moisturize, use sun protection and do not pick. As new collagen forms, the scar becomes smoother and blends in.

Who is a good candidate?
Most healthy adults who want to improve surgical, acne or injury scars. You should be free of infection or active acne in the area, not prone to abnormal scarring, and ready to follow aftercare. We confirm suitability at your consultation.
Who should avoid scar revision?
People with active skin infections, open wounds, or eczema or psoriasis in the area should wait until it heals. Pregnant or nursing women should postpone treatment. A history of keloid scars or certain chronic conditions may rule it out; we review your medical history first.
What are the side effects?
Most are mild and temporary: redness, swelling, tenderness or slight peeling. Some people see temporary lightening or darkening of the skin. Rarely, blistering, infection or scarring can happen, mostly when aftercare is not followed.
Is it safe for all skin types?
It suits many skin types. The laser settings are adjusted for your tone and sensitivity to reduce the risk of pigment changes in darker skin. Tell us about your skin history at the consultation.
